Great Gloves

"Used these on Mont Blanc Summit for top 50-75% of the mountain when I need a bit more warmth, but moving and working up heat. Great dexterity and sheds light water wind when needing to touch snow, hold ice axe etc. I could see myself using these in North East USA in the winter for casual use when needing a little warmth but not a heavy glove when dexterity is important."

Warm, light, but not durable

"Gloves are warm, but the index and thumb touch screen compatibility feature rip off rather easily. I have had these gloves only a few weeks and have ripped off those aforementioned features through normal use with carabiners and rope work. Additionally, the cuffs are super tight and the finger sizing feels off from other BD gloves. Very light and warm, but not great if you intend to use them while belaying, using ropes, etc. Maybe a good “alpine” glove if you intend not to work with any snow, rock, or build anchors with them. Great for ski touring. I am a mountain guide and burn through gear with heavy use, but never this quick. Rather let down with these given the previous great reviews."

Great for mountaineering

"Took these straight to Greenland for a week long mountaineering/ski tour. Had them on almost the whole time and did not need to reach for my heavier mitts for the descents. A thin pair of liners can fit inside providing impressive warmth for size."

Awesome gloves. Great for warmth

"Awesome gloves. Great for warmth and dexterity on cold but not frigid days. Cuff is tight - can be a pain to put back on (I end up fighting the glove each time) but this is a good thing - makes a remarkable difference with heat."

Ayush B. (5/5)

Poor fit guidance

"I don't know about the Softshell gloves because they did not fit despite the fit description which included me measuring my hand. I am going to give them to someone with smaller hands."

Minor quarks, but well worth once broken in

"Warmth is exceptional for moderate cold, roughly 30 deg weather. The wrist stitching is a bit tight but will loosen with time (still a bit of a struggle to get on but manageable). The touchscreen accuracy is to be desired, I’m often required to redo texts multiple times on my phone. However, for daily use on dog walks and even out on the town (they’re stylish and sleek), these will be difficult to match."

The best active use gloves I’ve tried.

"Perfect gloves for active use: Supple feel with good dexterity Leather palm for grip and so they aren’t soaked the moment you touch something snowy, like skis Breathable (no membrane/coating, hurray!) Good touchscreen function They are surprisingly warm. Wore them skinning at 5 F. Of course, only saying that for active use. For stationary use it would have to be pretty warm for me to use them."

Better than advertised

"Great fit, Great warmth. Great screen touch. Could not be better!"

Perfect for high output activities

"I have worn these on vigorous hikes and plan to use them xc skiing based on their performance. Really solid product!"

Great gloves

"These are nice and lightweight and seem to hold up well in the rain. My only complaint is that I wish there was a cinch strap for the wrists. They aren’t particularly loose, but my jacket pushes them down which causes there to be empty space between the finger and glove making dexterity more difficult. Potentially size down if you wish to avoid this."
