"Absolutely rocking helmet! I got the Captain Helmet S/M for around $50 (which is a steal!) and have loved it so far! I took it to a sandstone crag in Utah and it felt solid and fairly light! Even when sitting in direct sunlight it wasn’t too hot. I did notice it feels slightly bulky, but other then that, great helmet!"

"Owned this helmet for years and never knew its potential until yesterday. I took a 30' whipper on Unimpeachable Gropping on the 3rd Pitch in Red Rocks. The rope caught behind ankle (my mistake). First thing to hit was my head when I was upside down. This helmet saved my life and prevented serious concussion. Saw stars and was able to climp back up 6 bolts to where I fell before bailing the climb. Massive scratches and barely warped shell, amazed. Time for a new helmet as a precaution. Many lessons were learned that day, but one thing for sure was a need to write this review! Thank you Black Diamond."
"It fits nice and the strap to hold a flashlight is also good to attach snowgoggles, but the top of helmet hurts a bit if you don't have anything under it."
"I specifically got this helmet for it's multi-use abilities. it is a bit clunky but given that I can use it for multiple activities I will keep it. For rock climbing specifically, I will use one of my other helmets."
