"So the distance Z poles are pretty bombproof! I’ve had mine for over 6 years and lots of miles. Unfortunately they have a design fault in the straps, which although comfy tend to wear out and break on a regular basis. I am now on my 3rd set of straps!"

"Within 1 month, both (heavily used) straps broke and had to be replaced. Changing the straps wasn't as easy as I had hoped, but I finally figured it out. Now my poles are almost like new again."

I have a feeling these straps will give me more problems on the trail then designed too. I bought a headlamp from Black Diamond about a year ago and it too was also defective."
"These replacement straps work very well once they are inserted and attached in the poles. However, it took me no less than 1-hour to do this job. Removing the old straps was no problem after reading the directions. The issue was attempting to attach the new ones. It is a very tedious and frustrating process. In this day and age, a much better design for attachment is of high priority, especially for people who use these poles frequently and need to replace old, worn straps. Replacing straps simply shouldn't be this hard."

"I love that i could replace my straps and not have to throw out my favourite poles. Shipping is a bit expensive. I wish these were sold by someone in Canada. Relatively easy to install once you get the trick but some instructions would be nice showing exactly how to install. I might try qnd make a how to video"
"I've had my Carbon Z Poles for 10 years, and the straps were beginning to wear out. I thought I'd have to replace the poles, but a friend said all I needed were new straps and they were simple to replace. Ordered the new ones and they were very easy to install. Worked great!"
