Game Changer

"I previously had a set of trekking poles a friend gave me that, as I like to put it, “worked well enough”. I took these on my last backpacking trip around Rae Lakes in CA (40+ miles & lots of gain), and I realized how big of a difference a truly good set of poles can make. It’s sometimes hard for me to invest in gear, but these are worth it. I used them for most of the trek, but when I did fold them up, it was a very nice convenience. They’re incredibly lightweight, and the fit in my hands was comfortable. I’m a bigger guy at 210 and 6’3”, and these poles were plenty strong enough to support my weight, even on downhills when I was really depending on them. Honestly 10/10, got my wife a set too. (The second pic shows the poles folded up in the side pouch of my pack)"

Lightweight Adventure Poles

"Upgraded my heavy hiking poles to the Distance Z poles and they are way better. Much lighter and the foldable aspect is super convenient to stow away to my pack. I had a previous version of these that broke on me but they lasted about 8 years and were put to heavy use. I am happy to have them back and think they are worth it!"

Instructions are not good

"Haven’t used the pikes yet but in instructions are abysmal. The paper fold out with photos is useless. No where in the paper instructions or quick start tells you what the bigger basket or the rubber tips are for. The BD quick start video is helpful- just add a bit about the extra basket and rubber tips for us first time buyers"

Amazing poles. Easy to use

"Amazing poles. Easy to use and put away. Used during a rainy and muddy 50k. Some issues pulling apart when it was muddy and wet but I reckon that’d happen with any poles in those conditions. Performed great!"

David V. (5/5)

Comfy poles

"Comfy and very light, love the straps they feel padded buy they arnt. didnt check size so i got one too big for me but oh well! i love it"

Cory W. (4/5)

2nd pair

"Broke a handle in pretty big fall lol. Amazing poles lasted me 1000+ miles on trails and many many trail running falls. Basically bombproof and easy to use."

Clint W. (5/5)

Awesome trekking poles for travel

"I have a set of the carbon poles but they don’t break down small enough for air travel. Got these for my 13yo and me for a trip to Yosemite and they were great! They break down small enough to put in a pack for travel and when setup, they are super sturdy and still lightweight!"

Michael H. (5/5)

Great poles

"Got these for a trip to Alaska to hunt caribou and while we haven’t been yet we’ve used them around central Texas to get some reps in and love them. Big upgrade from our old poles. Glad I got them."

Christopher L. (5/5)

Very nice poles. I have

"Very nice poles. I have used them many times with no complaints. A tier. Could have come with bigger baskets."

Patrick W. (5/5)

Bad design with obvious weak point

"Unfortunately these new poles are junk. I had a very lightly used pair snap under normal load right at the locking joint. Even though I was in the normal warranty period and had a receipt, bd still refused to replace them. Won’t be buying any more poles from them, which is a bummer because their old stuff was great."
