"The rubber tips work better than metal on all surfaces, including rock sand and mud. These are now included with new Pursuit poles. Easy to install with pliers."

"Can't tell if they're good, because I have not been able to install them on my Black Diamond hiking sticks! No instructions. And after looking at random sites on YouTube I don't see a way to remove the carbide tips without doing damage to the poles!?!?!"

"I purchased the cork walking sticks and rubber tips. However, there were tips did not fit the walking stick so I returned the one that I had opened."
They do wear down eventually!
"I noticed my poles were really “clicky” on rocks. Checked, and the rubber was totally worn down to the metal. Now I’m back to quieter hiking and not marking rocks!"
